Track & Field Training for Kids - aged 5-18 Fun

5:30 PM| The Oshawa Civic Center / Dome @ 99 Thornton Road South, Oshawa

Welcome to the Eclipse Track and Field program, designed specifically for newcomers and immigrants in the region of Durham! Our program aims to provide an inclusive and supportive environment for kids to participate in the exciting world of track and field.

At Eclipse Track and Field, we offer a variety of disciplines for your children to explore, including sprints, jumps, and hurdles. Whether your child is a beginner or has some prior experience, our dedicated coaches are here to guide them every step of the way. In our sprints program, kids will learn the fundamentals of speed and agility. They will develop their running technique, build endurance, and enhance their overall fitness levels. Through various drills and exercises, we aim to improve their acceleration, stride length, and overall race performance.

Our jumps program focuses on developing skills in long jump and high jump. Children will learn proper take-off techniques, landing strategies, and how to maximize their distance or height. We provide a safe and supportive environment for them to explore their potential and build confidence in their abilities.  And for those interested in the exhilarating world of hurdles, our program offers specialized training to master this challenging discipline. Kids will learn proper hurdling techniques, stride patterns, and timing. Our experienced coaches will guide them through progressive drills and exercises to enhance their speed, agility, and coordination. Beyond the physical aspects, our program also emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth. We believe that track and field not only builds athletic skills but also fosters important life skills such as discipline, perseverance, and goal-setting.

Eclipse Track and Field welcomes children of all backgrounds, ages, and skill levels. We understand the unique challenges that newcomers and immigrants may face, and we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels valued and supported.
